Why Intermodal:
Intermodal shipping incorporates many of the challenges of drayage into a brand new set of concerns. On the one hand, moves from a vessel to an on-dock rail facility can be relatively simple. On the other, however, there can be issues with appointments, coordination, and more.
Talon incorporates our best practices from drayage, including various automations, to remove friction from intermodal shipping, seamlessly plugging into rail IT systems to create two-way communication and offer our shippers real-time visibility into when their goods will leave the station.
